01 / Publishing administration

Your publishing.
Handled end to end.

We do everything a publisher does, without taking a single share of your songs. Every work gets registered correctly, every income stream gets collected, and you get paid with statements that show exactly where the money came from. You stay the owner. We do the paperwork. See all services →

01

Song registration

Every song registered with your PRO, The MLC, HFA and societies worldwide, with writers, splits, ISWCs and ISRCs matched up so nothing goes unclaimed.

02

Global royalty collection

Performance, mechanical and digital royalties in the US and abroad, collected and brought together in one place instead of scattered across a dozen portals.

03

Statements & payments

Quarterly royalty statements broken down by song, source and territory, with splits paid out to every writer on the track.

04

Sync & licensing

Quotes, licenses and cue sheets for film, TV, games and ads, so placements get paid correctly whether they come through us or through you.

05

Live & setlists

Setlists filed for every tour, at home and overseas, so the songs you play on stage earn the performance royalties they should.

06

Catalog cleanup

Bad metadata, missing writers, split disputes and duplicate registrations fixed at the source before they cost you another statement.

Four income streams.
We collect all four.

Many independent artists are only set up for one or two. Here is everything we register and collect for you.

PerformanceASCAP · BMI · YOUR PRO

Radio, streaming, TV and live plays. We keep your IPIs attached and every work linked.

MechanicalsTHE MLC · HFA

Every on-demand stream and download pays a mechanical. We claim yours so it never sits as "unclaimed."

InternationalPRS · GEMA · SOCAN · MORE

Foreign societies collect on your songs whether you know it or not. We make sure it reaches you.

NeighboringSOUNDEXCHANGE

Digital radio and master-side royalties registered and tied to your catalog.

03 / The forensic edge

Most admins collect what's flowing.
We find what isn't.

Every new client starts with a full catalog audit. Broken metadata, detached IPIs, unlinked works and distributor failures leave money stuck in suspense accounts until it gets paid out to someone else. We trace it, fix it at the source and get the back pay released.

Ross Morter

20 years in the pit. 20 years in the ledger.

I know how catalogs, labels and collection societies actually work. More importantly, I know exactly where the money goes missing. The industry relies on artists being too busy to check the math. I check the math.

From The MLC to ASCAP to SoundExchange to societies in the UK and Germany, I build the publishing setup most artists never knew they needed, run it for them every day, and recover what the system quietly keeps.

You focus on the music. I handle the publishing.

Questions

What does a publishing administrator actually do?+

We register your songs everywhere they need to be, collect the royalties they earn around the world, and pay you with clear statements. It is the work a publisher does, without you giving up ownership.

Do you take any ownership of my songs or masters?+

No. Never. We are administrative partners, not a record label. You retain 100% ownership of your copyrights, masters and publishing at all times. We just make sure you actually get paid for them.

I'm already with ASCAP or BMI. Do I still need you?+

Most likely. Your PRO only collects performance royalties. Mechanicals, international income and a properly registered publisher share all need separate registration. That is what we handle.

I manage a legacy catalog or an estate. Is this for you?+

Yes. Older catalogs are often where registrations are most out of date: writers who have passed, publishers that folded, agreements that may be due to revert. We start by mapping what is registered and who is being paid, then set up administration in the estate's name. Valuations are quoted as a flat project fee.

Do I have to pay out of pocket for an audit?+

For forensic society recovery, no. We work on a strict contingency basis. We front the cost of the investigation, and if we don't find any missing money, you owe us nothing. For ongoing global administration, we take a standard 15% fee. Catalog valuations are quoted as a flat-rate project. There are no monthly retainers, and every fee is spelled out in your agreement.

Why can't my manager or CPA just do this?+

Your manager is focused on tours, routing and record cycles. Your CPA handles your tax returns. Neither of them has the time or specialized access to dig through The MLC database looking for broken ISRCs, or the experience to audit a legacy record contract from 2004. We don't replace your team; we work directly with them as your specialized catalog backend.

Will auditing my label damage my relationship with them?+

No. Most record contracts include an audit clause, and labels expect them to be used. Most clauses also set a time limit, so it is worth checking sooner rather than later. We keep it strictly professional: we request the ledgers, run the math, present the discrepancies, and recover your money. It is standard industry business, not a personal attack.

How long does a forensic recovery take?+

Fixing years of broken data is not an overnight process. A deep-catalog society sweep usually takes 6 to 9 months for the funds to be released and hit your bank account. Label audits depend entirely on the size of the catalog and the messiness of the label's ledgers. We handle the waiting and the paperwork; you just get the wire transfer.
